How the race works

The rules of the track
The numbers on the track are the numbers raised. Final standings lock on race day.
- Lanes
- Each horse has its own lane, shown in its Stable’s silks with its jockey’s photo.
- Commitment line
- Each Owner commits to raising $15,000. The gold line marks that commitment on the track.
- Laps
- One lap equals $25,000. There is no cap. Horses past one lap show their lap number.
- The Cup
- The Stable with the highest total on race day takes the Mini Derby Cup.
- When it opens
- The live track opens after the private Draw Party, once the 2027 Owners have drawn their horses.
